Hi, I am trying to find reviews on a Kampa Rapid 220 Porch Awnings but have no luck, I want a Porch Awning that is light and easy to put up, myself and my good lady are over 70yrs and I have problems due to past shoulder injuries, if anyone knows of any light Porch Awnings and can let me know I would be greatful. Royboy.
Have you considered a Fiamma zip? The canopy rolls up into a bag which stays in the awning channel. Sides and the front zip onto the canopy to form the awning.
You can put one or both sides in with or without the front so it’s a very versatile set up
------------- Best Regards
David

Hi Roy,
Mr Pooter & I have a Sunncamp Envy 200cm porch awning which we love. It fits on the back of our Swift Basecamp (door at the rear).
All three sides can be configured as door plus window, door fastened open or entire side rolled up to give a gazebo type effect.
We have used it in torrential rain at the Keswick site in the Lake District (had to be towed off the pitch by a tractor) & it was bone dry inside. There was some pooling of water on the roof but that may have been our inexperience (only the second time we had put it up).
We travelled over to Glossop Awnings from Southport as they were amazingly helpful on the phone. We weren't sure if the awning would fit and they told us to bring the van over and they were happy to fit any awning we liked to see if it worked. Excellent service.
It might be worth a trip for you and, if you have a standard van and awning rail, you probably don't need to take the van... just go along and see what they've got.
The Isabella Minor porch is easy to put up, lightweight Carbon X poles made from fibreglass and strong carbon fibres, very good Isacryl breathable fabric.
We have the Kampa rapid air 220, it is very lightweight and so easy to put up, it takes us about 10 to 15 minutes from taking it out of the bag to having a lovely little porch to protect the door from bad weather, we also use a fiamma caravanstore zip in the summer months, in my opinion the kampa is much easier and simpler than the fiamma and sides.
Recommend the Kampa, especially the air version to anyone who wants light, easy and small.
