We use the van as if we were at home, shower gets used and the loo does for ones and twos. We are ex campers though, so perhaps it comes from that, don't see the point in trudging out to the park facilities when I can powder my nose in my own comfy bathroom in privacy 👍 Although have to admit, I do send hubby the site facilities sometimes, depending on what he's been eating

Not using you're vans facilities takes me back, to when I was a young girl and when my mum got new sofa, she kept the plastic wrapper on, so not to spoil it haha! Life's too short to be so precious, you've bought it to enjoy so use it do just that !

Different times though. Old carpet put down on top of new carpet. Fitted covers for armchairs & car seats. Bikes & clothes repaired & passed down to younger brothers/sisters. Stuff was preserved & looked after because there was less money to buy new stuff.

For us baby boomers we have money to spend on new stuff so we chuck stuff away when it is a bit worn. Younger generations are not so lucky so they perhaps will have to become as thrifty as our 1950s parents were?
