O thanks for adding that!
I looked at a Go Pod (you might need to look that up as well!)
Thinking of mostly short trips away for two. Rookie is very compact but seems wellbuild...and has a nice bathroom which is a big plus!
Just seem to be none about and not well known for some reason.
The reasons would be made in Italy & no chain of UK distributors. Very limited niche market appeal. Risky buy because it could be difficult to sell if you don't like it. Plenty of better known compact caravan alternatives such as Eriba Touring or the new Swift Basecamp.
All you can do is go & look at one. Check the build quailty. Look beneath the surface at quality of wiring & plumbing etc then if you like it buy it but ensure it's the caravan you want for a good few yrs.
Thanks so much for replies.
I live fairly close to the one and only distributor in the country. The quality of the Wingamm both inside and outside is excellent.....the one piece shell very solid...and guaranteed no water ingress. There is an awning which doubles the size etc.... and in many ways seems so perfect for two.
But...they are a bit quirky with yes, an off side door...and maybe would be difficult to get serviced/repaired/parts in the future if the only distributor disappeared.
I don't see anyone replying to say they have one!...so maybe they are just a little too 'exclusive'....but I'll keep thinking and look at the others suggested above as well.
Many thanks.
We are the same, with a Sterckeman ... unless you are planning a lot of stopping on the road, when opening the door onto the road could be dangerous, there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't have your door on the other side.
Possibly some inflexible campsites, who insist on parking your van in one specific direction, might cause a problem ... never happens on the continent!
I'm sure the dealer could put you in touch with some other buyers you could talk to.
