Hi,
I am looking at possibly buying one of these form a local dealer. He's asking about 3.5K but I might get him to lower the asking price if he senses a sale.
At first glance it looks to be in excellent condition with just a minor leak by the front window, which was fixed. I will give it a good once over later this week including taking my damp tester. Dealer said he'll service it so everything is in working order. Last service it had was 2015.
I am new to caravans. All my camping has been in tents so far, so I would appreciate a heads up. Both generic and if anyone has any experience of this particular caravan, please share so I know what to look out for, etc, etc.
Not familiar with this van but as a generic I'd look at the following issues. If dealer services van he should give you the service report plus a record of the damp test he will do. Make sure all electrical appliances working and all appliances that can work on gas do e.g. heater, water heater, oven, hobs and fridge. Check all seals windows and doors look for visual evidence of wear. Check water pump is working and all taps. Ask if battery is in good condition. Make sure you receive the CRIS documentation or check the CRIS number has been etched on all the windows. If a handbook is available make sure its passed on to you. Dealer should show you all controls and how these work. Check position of fuse panel. Ask for steadies to be raised and lowered to check they are all ok. Sorry this rambles on a bit - Good Luck.

Hello Frank. Great advice from Geoff48, I cannot add to that, but I do have a lot of experience with the very van and year you are looking at.
We have had ours for 8 years now and we absolutely love it, it has been all over France and into Spain, and has lived in France for a few summers. It has been faultless.
We have had the upholstery renewed at a cost of £550 from a company in Exeter, and I have fitted external BBQ and 240v points.
I retired early a couple of years ago, and we spent many days looking at new and newer vans, but nothing could do any more than our van already does, so we have binned the idea of forking out 15K-20K on something that could still present problems.
Our BPM has been fantastic, and would not part with it now.
Thanks for the heads up everyone. Went to have another look at the aforementioned caravan armed with my damp tester and it turns out the back end is riddled with damp. Readings were off the scale.
Having also seen the damp reports and no indication of the issue being fixed decided to not waste anymore time on that one and opted for a different van instead, which comes with 12 month warranty, loads of extras and had no sign of damp.
