Hi guys/girls
Brand new to caravans and this forum, me and the wife have been looking for our first caravan... to say the search is a minefield is an understatement. Anyway we have seen a Weippert Trent Nevada 3 berth for sale, we like the look of it even though the door is on the wrong side. Just wondering if anyone has any insight into these caravans... i have been looking online to get some information and to find some comparible ones for sale to get an idea of what they sell for etc.... it is a 2001 fixed bed example. Any insights or help with possible problem areas would be grestly appreciated, many thanks and hope to hear from you guys/girls.
I take it thats the one in Preston? Its a reasonable price if it is sound although it looks like it needs a good clean. German caravans are generally pretty solid but you still need to check this one thoroughly for damp. Ensure there are no soft or discoloured bits inside. Look down under the seats at floor/wall joints etc. Service wise the chassis parts etc are same make as UK built caravans so any caravan workshop can service it.
Ad looks slightly dodgy as it states private sale then says trade in which suggests a dealer. If it is a dealer then he will need to sell it 'spares or repair' if he wants no comeback. Having said that for price provided caravan is basically sound & appliances work it sounds ok but budget for service & probably new tyres as well as what looks like several days work to give it a good clean up.

Hi opensauce,
You are indeed correct my friend, it is the one based in Preston. Your advice is really valuable and something i will use when i go and view it and any others, i think what is putting me off is the fact it is a fixed bed at a decent price and its still sat there... they usually fly out the door. The cleaning and tidying up dont put me off... thank you for your help and advice.
