Exactly, that was what I was trying to say.


So what you could do is buy some of this:

Then all you would have to do is put some eyelets into the material that hang outs from the awning rail, something like should do:

And there you go, you feed the piping material into the rail, attach your sail shade to the piping, and bob your uncle.

I tried all sorts of configurations, non seemed to solve the problem. I had two weeks in the Dordogne which was very wet.
You're probably right, the heavier version is better.

Thats what I use. A Tencate canopy with awning beading & 3 poles. That way it makes a pitched roof so water runs off. I use 2 guys on each pole & it stays up ok. A selection of pegs is needed for different types of ground because it relys on pegs staying firm to stay up.

Hi - I know this is an old post but I still found it useful 👌🏻 We got some of the awning stoppers off eBay and as a back up there are suction cup anchors you can also get that stick on anywhere. That a some tent poles. Job done 👍🏻
