Hi everybody
Thinking of downloading the TomTom camper & caravan map.Can anyone tell me if this allows me to input length,height,weight etc or is it just a map with campsites as a poi.
I would welcome any advice before I waste £80.

I have 2 tomtoms a via 135 & a go live 1005.Both are compatable
What I need to know is what the download will give me.Will it let me input my caravan length and height or is it just another map?

I think for 80 quid it's going to be more than just a map download but the link below seems to state what you are looking for:

TomTom Camper & Caravan products let you choose the type of vehicle you are driving. The route planned by your device takes into account the route restrictions for the size, weight and type of your vehicle. For example, a route calculated for a camper van may be different from the route calculated for a car.

We’ve got the TomTom camper version which they don’t do any more. You can only change your type of vehicle. I.e. from car to motorhome. It does alter the route, though, presumably avoiding low bridges etc. We were checking a route yesterday between Google maps and the TomTom and it won’t take us on the road we wanted so we guess there must be some sort of restriction. I would imagine the downloadable map would be basically the same. We’ve never had a problem with a route (famous last words!) and we’ve done thousands of miles here and abroad.

I have the Camper maps loaded onto my TomTom Start 60 and I have to say they have been pretty reliable both here and in Europe. As has been said you select the vehicle type rather than unit dimensions but it seems to work.
