Hi I’m new to this site and already after advice so apologies. I have recently purchased a 2005 sterling europa and going though the checks found that the water pump isn’t working. I’ve checked the pump and it works when connected to the battery, I’ve checked there is power to the pump outlet and there is and checked the drain off valve is closed the van is on the electrical hook up. The pump is switched on in the van and when I open the taps the red ugh comes on but the pump doesn’t work. Sorry if this is a little long winded. Thanks in advance for your advice
Hi John and welcome to the madhouse, sorry, forum.
This sounds like a problem with the contacts where the pump plugs in to the socket on the van. If you switch the pump and tap on and then go outside and wiggle the pump connection you will probably find that the pump will whirr in to life. As soon as you decide it's working and you let go of the connector it will all stop again. You may be able to tighten up the connectors carefully which will cure the problem or you may find that everything works with the plug and socket at a strange angle.
This is quite a common problem and it usually happens when you have changed the aquaroll in the middle of the night.
Hope this helps.

Is it the pump? If not could be a micro switch or if no micro switches the pressure switch. Do you have a voltage gauge on the van, what happens to the gauge when you turn the pump on? Although you have power what voltage is your battery? maybe too low to work the pump when under load.
