Hi all, I have been offered an ABI dalesman and was wondering if anyone can point out pros/cons what should I look for, I am new to caravans and need all the help I can get. Thanks. Rob

Please see attached link Second hand caravan ascertain exactly what you get, ie is Aquallroll, aquawaste, toilette cassette, hitchlock, hookup cable etc included. Does everything work on mains, 12v and gas. Have the controls explained to you when watching the demonstration. Ask when the van was last known to be serviced. Ask for the last damp report and do a damp test yourself, (you can buy an inexpensive damp meter if you don't already have one). Ask if there are any known faults and if so what they are. As well as the checks that Geoff has mentioned above you also have to check the suitability of your tow car and possibly if your driving licence will allow you to tow this outfit. The weight plate for the caravan should be on the a-frame or beside the door.

Thanks guys, I`m ok with the towing as I`m an old codger lol and the weight does fall well within tolerance, I`m planning on going over on Saturday for a butchers, fingers crossed
