I've been using gaslight since 2088 with no issues, always use 10kg bottle which easily last a season,
I also use gaslight at bome on my bbq and patio heater.
It's propane so burns hotter as well.
So are the Safefill bottles light weight?

------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Safefill (and in fact all the refillable solutions) have a costly outlay, but the long term benefit of these is dependent on the individuals needs for gas. We use a lot of gas as run off-grid for most use, with limited EHU needs; I've almost recovered the initial outlay for Safefill within a year or so.
And as Woodman2 very well puts it ... two fingers up to Calor

Homebase do a gaslight propane 5Kg and 10Kg, not sure what the regulator size is though
The "Gas-light" bottles feature a 27 mm clip-on connector. With a bulkhead mounted regulator you need this type of adaptor and a "pig-tail" with a standard Butane threaded end as the adaptor uses that termination.

Safefill
Excellent company to deal with as well
Yep we are on our second Safefill bottle and it costs less than a £8 to fill up. Lightweight and easy to refill yourselves. Depending if gas usage is average, it takes about 3 years to break even. If you rally a lot and are off EHU, break even point is a lot sooner.
Safefill bottles are refilled at petrol stations (or similar filling points) and the LPG is generally charged at between £0.50 and £0.75 per litre.
As a guide the 10Kg Safefill takes 19 litres so to till that up will cost between £9.50 and £14.25.
This at worst compares with a calor refill at £21.75 for 6kg to £1.425 per kilo for safefill and £3.625 per kilo for Calor.
You buy the bottle and refill it as required (no need for it to be empty either!). Heavy gas users such as people who rally or camp off grid can often get back the initial outlay within a year and then start saving money.
We have just purchased a 7.5 kg Safefill bottle at £149.99 and had it filled at the same time, it took 13.8 litres of gas which cost us £6.21, which works out at 45p per litre. It won't take us long to recoup the initial outlay as we do a lot of rallying. We were told that the 7.5 kg cylinders are in short supply at the moment as we walked away with their last one.
