We have not had any issues with our 2.5m wide and 8.16m long caravan anywhere in the UK, France or Spain! The extra 6" does make a difference.

Did you find it a problem in municipal campsites in France pitching with your 8ft wide caravan?

Happy with our 7'6" van, an 8' would be very difficult to get in our slot in our indoor storage! They are packed in tightly, plus more difficult on narrow lanes!

Never used any municipal sites however the one were we did make inquiries was quite happy to accept us. We tend to use ACSI sites in France and Spain.

When we were looking, we liked the Pegasus Grande, and the difference of 6' was noticeable, however IMO the messed around with the lounge too much and made the double at the front too narrow, hence the choice we made.

Now you see, it is the "G-shaped" lounge of the pegasus grande that draws me towards them. It is a layout that would suit us down to the ground.
