Hi all any one used the Kampa Limpet system, wanted to use it for the wheel arch cover so didn't want to spend the money on a full kit, has anyone found a way to punch the holes without buying the Kampa hole punch?

You could cut a small hole using very sharp scissors. We brought the hole punch which is very good but expensive for what it is! The Limpet System is brilliant but be careful not to tighten them too much otherwise they break. They also leave a slight ring mark on the side of the caravan (or maybe it was me over-tightening them!!) but the marks do fade and have polished out.

We use limpets on our Vango wheel arch cover, just used the 2 existing holes in the top corners, the ones where the suction hooks hook into and the figure of 8 channel along the bottom

I bought a cheep belt hole punch which does the job ok.

Read the reviews on google about the limpets ... some reports of damage to vans ..
Not tried them myself but would be very cautious before using.

Was in the local caravan dealers at the weekend and they had a notice up saying they had reports of the system damaging the caravans and that it was been investigated atm. Might be worth waiting for an outcome if lots of reports it has damaged the caravan.
