It was quite warm this afternoon so I opened our new swift challenger window for the first time. The front windows have the little twisty knob the same as our previous caravan to hold the window in the open position so these made sense to me, however, the side windows don't have the twisty knob. We discovered that if we fiddled about with them enough, they would eventually click into position and stay open in one of three positions but we couldn't get them to work consistently. I am guessing that there is some technique to getting them to stay open which we are not seeing.
There is a knack to doing this on our Swift, Tina can open the window and leave it open the desired amount at the first attempt whilst it takes me ages to get it right.
Hi Pixie, We just push the window out slowly until it makes a small click sound, then let it come back gently. It should then stay open where you want it. To be honest, ours do need two or three stabs at it, but it will work.
Hi Sam, we've only tried them on one occasion and we spent most of the time trying to get them to click into the open position! When we got one to stay open it appeared to be quite robust but only time will tell!
Amazing...our first swift van of 70's vintage with glass windows had stays that worked like this. Then they disappeared along with glass, and now back again - except the old ones worked

I now never, ever open the windows on the front of any van.
I occasionally open the front small windows, but never the large centre one (except for cleaning, when I keep it supported by hand whilst doing so). Did it once, and the strain on the plastic pivots on the window frame was quite obvious. Closed it immediately.
Imagine the possible outcome if a gust of wind suddenly sprang up!
