I have two new propane cylinders-6kg-one Calor gas- one Flogas
Will the connector I buy fit both or will I have to just use the one brand. Or to put it simply are screw on regulators compatible with both makes?
Thanks
They appear to be but for the sake of 40 pounds or so I think I will go over to Calor
I only asked as I have old butane cylinders- 1 calor 1 flogas -*so I will exchange the Calor for propane and forget Flogas
My initial post was not quite accurate as purchase not yet occurred OOPS!!
Thanks anyway
Fittings are the same on both Flogas and Calor butane 4.5kg, but don't forget you'll need a different regulator (or pigtail if you have a bulkhead regulator) for propane ie one that screws into rather than onto the cylinder fitting (anticlockwise).
Butane (blue) has a female thread on the regulator and Propane (red) has a male thread disregards what size cylinder it is. It is designed this way to make it fool proof therefore impossible to connect incorrectly.
