It must be me. Because i wouldnt buy a van that stunk of pee. Full stop. Ive looked in a few where the smell of 'eau de old bloke' (or maybe not so old?) hit your nose once the loo door was opened. That always stops the viewing in its tracks im afraid.
I aslo 'sit'. As how can you pee and read the paper stood up!

update now van is good no smells, even carpets are cleaned, we used U-R-ine from amazon after washing carpets outside and drying them in the sun we spray them with the u-r-ine spray and now no smells it does not mask the smell but attacks the bacteria. and cushions are being professionaly recovered by tapppers.

Why would you want a carpet in a toilet - that's just asking for trouble!

I've been sitting to pee for years both at home and in the van but I still wouldn't have a carpet in the loo!

Most vans have carpet,ours are removable so its easy to take them out and clean them and the vinyl underneath.

I take out the loo cassette and clean the blade and seal carefully with antiseptic wipes, followed by a spray of silicone lube.
Limescale does build up on it.
