Lunar clubman caravan has fractures in the front and rear panels.I know someone who works there and it's known fault on all models as they haven't followed the manufacturers guide lines of correct distance of the edge should pilot hole the awning and panel then drill into body work. They have just drilled into awning rail panel then side panel and not at advised distance from the edge. When the van is on the move it then fractures....

You don't say what year it is. I have similar problems on my 2007 Swift. I had a leak so had to remove offside rear rail. The build was pathetic. Same problem as you and where the side should meet the rear panel there was a gap of half an inch at the top! was filled with mastic. Some of the cracks were large and I drilled to stop further cracking. Filled all cracks with Soudal before reinstalling rail using mastic from a gun not strip mastic. When cured I oversealed all the new joints with soudal ! Still have to complete a water check!
It does seem amazing that there are still so many reports of problems with ABS plastic panels on caravans when it has been used for so many years.
We owned a 1992 Swift Rapide with an ABS front panel which cracked within three months of ownership. It was replaced and the new panel cracked within a year. In both cases the crack emanated from screw holes which had been used to position the panel. I contacted Swift, and living near the factory they asked me to bring it in for inspection. After discussion with the workshop manager he agreed to fit the new panel without drilling the holes. We had no further problems, the van is still used regularly and apart from slight discolouration the panel is in excellent condition.
As has been stated, it seems to me that ABS is robust provided it is correctly fitted and herein lies the problem. According to my mobile service engineer he has come across panel problems with all makes recently, but Lunar appeared to have most problems.
For those with older caravans, ABS can be successfully repaired at a fraction of the cost of panel replacement. I cracked the rear panel of the Rapide more than 15 years ago and the mould was no longer available. The repair was undetectable and is still fine today.
Lunar have massive issues they ve only just addressed the problem every model going back years is at risk.my mate told me the ones they shipped to south Korea require replacing. Total disregard to the customer shocking
