Hi
Could do with a lot of help
Ive camped in tents and statics only and have just purchased a sprite musketeer to do up. Ive yet to have it delivered and would love to know what year its from its defintly 80s ?
It has musketeer in black on the front above front facing window and sprite in black bold under handle and a white and orange trim to paintwork.
I know i need a replacement front window and ive been looking but seems difficult to find.
I apologise in advance for my ignorance but you people have the expertise to help me and I hope you can
Many thanks x
Sounds like you’ve got a lot of work on your hands! Your best options for a new window are either a caravan breaker (of which there are many around the country - best to google “caravan breaker” then start phoning round to see if any have the window you’re looking for), or EECO (http://eeco-ltd.co.uk/) who make replacement caravan windows to order.
our first van was a sprite musketeer. nice little van. they used tobe very common, but not so many around now, though there is a semi derelict one parked not too far away from me - its near Harwich in Essex. where are you from?
I would join that myself, but my caravan is too new, having been built in 1992.
We used to have a Sprite Alpine, then a Musketeer, but that was in the 1970s. They were great caravans for their time, both of ours being 1960s models.
No hard & fast rules restoring a caravan that age. It’s make do & mend with whatever parts you can find. The odjective is a useable caravan not a restoration exactly as new. Good luck with it. Plenty of us do caravanning with old ‘vans we fix up & regard as an ongoing hobby project.
