As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

just use the cardboard wine bottle carriers from the supermarket, they double up to hold a beer glass too and best of all are free! lol
I use those for shoes!

Those metal tool clip types never seem to have the correct spacing for glasses. Its a bit of work but I made up a lightweight box with suitable various sized holes in the top (removable in case of breakages later). It works a treat as they can't jump out, there's no packing to do, and the glasses are evenly supported all round and you don't have to fight those nasty clips.

try your local Screwfix fix shop or order on net they have clips of various sizes for holding tools like screw drivers etc measure stem of glass for diameter and order tightish fit clip in metal or plastic can be screwed to any flat surface with two screws
We use the toughened glasses for drinking out of, a lot nicer than plastic and fully capable of being put through a dishwasher, or surviving a few bumps and bangs in transit.
They are the type used in pubs and bars, mostly with a logo on them, are a bit more pricey than the common supermarket glasses, but ours have survived our last three caravans, and the ones in the house are in daily use by our junior aged grandchildren for drinks of juice or pop using the 500ml size.
The idea of using this type of glass is that it is less lightly to smash into shards and more lightly to remain intact on impact, hence it is safer in pubs and bars than the older type that often ended up being used as a weapon during fights and disturbances resulting in some very nasty injuries to the victim. We bought ours off Amazon.
