Hi, I would be grateful of any advice as we are new to caravanning. We have an ace jubilee courier 2007 model & on our last trip we only had power from the mains so we had sockets & side lights working but no pump or main lights, the battery wasn’t charging either. We have checked all the fuses but are stumped by it! Any suggestions???
Have you checked the RCD to see if the MCB has tripped at all because if it's the same as mine the 240 volt lights are on the same MCB trip switch as the battery charger and hot water heater. The other MCB is for the 3 pin sockets and fridge.
There are two lots of lights though which the two wall lights are on 240 volt mains and the ceiling ones on a 12 volt circuit (battery power).

Don’t know about caravans but some motorhome chargers have a small switch that sends the mains to either vehicle or habitation battery. Just a thought.
There is likely to be a master switch somewhere which needs to be on. Maybe on a panel by the door or near where the power comes into the van or by or in the main breaker panel.
Will probably be a master switch, pump switch, master lights switch, maybe outside light switch all in one panel.
The 12v power supply/battery charger fitted to many caravans is not the most reliable piece of kit and is usually pretty easy to replace. I have recently replaced mine. Cost about £80 so you need to be sure that it is broken before getting a new one.
