After many happy years with our Adria Altea 542DT we have decided to sell up, as the kids are grown up now and are not coming with us.
We will be sad to see our Adria go, but it's just not the right van for us anymore.
I am going to put it on GumTree and ukcampsite.
Can anyone recommend anywhere else that is good for selling caravans fairly quickly?
Also, If anyone is interested in a 2011 Adria Altea 542DT in good condition with motor mover, please contact myself.
just make sure you only take cash on collection (its easy for the buyer to say they didnt get goods and get a refund on paypal which cost another 2ish % also)
if you have a buyer come and view it - do the deal etc, and just cancel the listing...ebay is none the wiser and you wont have any fees
Sold our last van on eBay - the 10% final value fee doesn’t apply to vehicles, including caravans. Instead it’s a £14.99 fixed fee for a classified ad, or 1% for an auction up to max £35.
Also don’t think eBay won’t notice if you cancel a listing to avoid paying fees - if you make arrangements in eBay messages or even put in a phone number then cancel the listing they usually warn you the first time and ban you on the second.
Try Facebook 'caravans for sale or swop'.
We have just sold our folding camper on the trailer tent and camping Facebook page. Put it up in the morning and it was sold by the evening.
No fees payable.
We put it on ukcampsite, but had no interest shown.
I have sold a caravan on eBay in the past and many other things. We once bought a caravan via the (then) Caravan Club website. I have just sold an awning, which I wanted gone quite quickly. I advertised it on this site, CMC, Gumtree and eBay. It sold quite quickly on Gumtree - after about 4 days. At that point I had 3 "watchers" on eBay, but no bidders.
However, I have just bought a larger awning on eBay.
