My caravan gets drained down in winter only, I rinse the aquaroll out with water at the start of the season and run some water through the pipes to flush them. When I need water I open the tap and fill kettle/glass/whatever.

Maybe it's because I am of the generation that played out, climbed trees, drank from a hosepipe or even a stream, vegetables came covered in mud and if if I grazed myself I didn't go to A&E, I spat on my hand and rubbed it on the graze and carried on playing

Not sure what generation you are sir but never have I read something that I agree with more.

I pretty much do the same as you, I drain the system down after every trip and sterilise the Aquaroll at the start of the new season, touch wood I've never had any problems.

I do believe that the reason so many people are effected by hay-fever these days is that we as a species is getting too clean. I see kids get a slight graze on there knee and the parents are there with disinfectant wipes etc. When I was a kid my mam would never use disinfectant, just wash it and in worst cases put a plaster on.
