i said to a ex tenting person   who has got into caravaning 5 years ago and uses the caravan once a year,i asked him if he moves the van every 2 months and covered his wheels with a bag so it was not on the same bits for most of the year IS THAT CORRECT , MY OWN van has been retired,,

Yes moving it will stop a flat spot on the tyres and covering them will stop them from cracking..

I always think that rather than moving the caravan every couple of months - go actually caravanning.

We swapped from a tent to extend our season; no reason to stop over winter these days.

The tyres on my caravan are dated, and whatever the condition, for safety reasons, should be renewed after 5 years. I have just renewed mine and they looked in good, but you don't want to risk a blow-out.
