I have no idea about new caravans, but for second hand ones it tends to be sell in spring or early summer, buy at the end of the year i.e. November or December. The last thing anyone is thinking about in the run-up to Christmas, which tends to start in September these days, is buying a caravan. Therefore there are some bargains to be had. However, in spring people are thinking about holidays, so prices shoot up.
The only snag is that while now might be a good time to sell, you'd be without a caravan throughout the best of the year if you wait until the best time to buy.

Colin
