Are all fixed beds the same size or can you get larger ones in some?

Some are larger and some are smaller because they have a corner cut off ,depends on the van lay out too.

They vary in length too,we tried some centre fixed bed models and the beds are too short for my 6'2"frame.
Some tranverse layout can be short too.
My advice is try them.

As people say, they are all different lengths, shapes and widths.

My advice would be to visit a showroom and lie down on some beds to get an idea of what you want, for as well as the beds themselves there is where they are placed - to the side or rear of the 'van, or in an island format.

In particular though, be aware that some mattresses' corner cuts are quite big, so one of you risks having feet hanging off the edge.

I'm 6'4" tall and had a fixed bed with corner cut off. It was OK because my wife is a foot shorter so I could pinch some of her space.

My biggest complaint was that they are narrow. Ours was squeezed between the outside wall and the corner shower cum toilet cubicle.


2nd biggest is that we had to climb over each other for the night time pees.


Have gone for make up singles in our current van and find it much better. Couple of sleeping bags and that's it.

Our Cadiz has two singles a little narrow but easily long enough.
Very comfortable too.
