"Greased Lightening Showroom Shine" Spray on, rub with soft cloth then polish off. It will also remove black stains. Available from online auction sites.
I wish someone else would try Elbow Grease. We get ours from Boyes for £1.My husband swears by it,gets rid of black streaks easily.
I just wondered if it only works for us.
Since I discovered Greased Lightning, which was recommended by another caravanner, I use nothing else on the caravan. It's also handy, particularly on the French sites that ban caravan washing, as it can be used without water, although I still give it a rinse first.
saw the elbow grease in a local shop yesterday, just wanted to check if it's the same as being discussed on here, the bottle is in a spray type bottle with yellow liquid in it ,
If it is the same how do you use it do you rinse the caravan first then spray it or spray the elbow grease then rinse.

Since the wife discovered elbow grease a few months ago we use it for most things. didnt think of the outside of the van but i can only imagine how good it will be on it. I think she has got a bottle just for the van!
Yes Graham that’s the one, usually costs around a pound, You just spray it on,wipe it off.Do all the black streaks first then wash caravan as usual and rinse. We use car shampoo.
We reduced black streaks down the side of the caravan by buying some plastic strip from the caravan show and threading it through the awning rail.
Thanks for the reply path20 the elbow grease is £1 in local farm shop so will call in on way home from work,
I mostly use Silky for cleaning once a year then car shampoo for the rest of the year
I usually keep on top of the cleaning as the van is on my front drive but its been away for some warranty work doing since last September
I also use the plastic strips to prevent the streaks but the dealer was installing new awning rail so had to leave the strip off
