Hi all, I am in the process of selling our 2009 Adria and have taken a call from Mansion caravans, apparently they buy used vans and sell overseas. Has anyone dealt with or heard of them, any experience, good or bad.
A business thinking the address gives them some credibility?
Where it could be a desk with a phone and nothing else?
As above if they turn up with cash (get yourself a pen to check the notes) and dont haggle on the price then all good.
If they deviate at all about the price or coming to get it and paying cash in hand then dont sell to them.
If its a fair bit of cash get them to pay you in your bank so you can deposit it right away.
Sad that you have to be on the lookout for anything dodgy.
Friend was selling an item for a few hundred, received a cheque for £2000. Seller said no worry i trust you. Bank the cheque and send me the item and refund whats left.
She was just about to do it as well. I told her the cheque will bounce in a few weeks or months. Stolen cheque or similar. She will have lost the item and £1000+ that she refunded when the value of the cheque gets clawed back, also risking getting a fraud marker for cashing a stolen cheque.
Midgley Motors in Skipton North Yorkshire export used UK caravans to New Zealand for ex pats to buy or to hire out ...They are 100% legit and have a large garage and are an authourised Mitsubishi dealer too...Can vouch for them
