Hi, can anyone tell me if it is compulsory to have a gas safety certificate for a touring caravan? I get it done every year but niw someone is saying that it must be done every year by law. Is this true?
I do know it is law that you have to have this done with static vans.

If it was compulsory for a gas certificate for all touring caravans and motorhomes then they would make servicing compulsory exactly the same as a vehicle MOT certificate and there has been no information sent out by the two major clubs about this as far as I'm aware.

Unless you are commercially renting it out then there is no legal requirement to have a Gas Safety Cert.
