Hi we have a 4 berth caravan the tv is on a shelf opposite the cooker the workspace is non existent unless you pull the sink top down then you cant get to sink. I was just wondering how many of you cook in the awning on things and is it easier this van has a fixed bed so dont seem to have as much kitchen work space as we had in the older one that had bunks can anyone relate to this and how have you got around it please . We have a coachman amara
We have a small electric oven/grille that we use in the awning at one end on a folding camp kitchen stand, bought from Lidl about 9 years ago, fan assisted with a choice of top element bottom element or both on together also has a timer.

The only thing we cook inside is the morning toast, every thing else is done in the awning on a variety of things including a mini oven and a suitcase stove as well as the bread maker and outside we sometimes use a Cobb.

I fitted a TV bracket, its not hard, basically just four holes and a strengthening board.
Certainly doesn't warrant the £100 fitting charge my local dealer was going to charge (and that didn't include the £40 TV bracket)
We've got our TV on a bracket as well. It's fitted on the pelmet in the front window. It's saved us a lot of space on the little table / set of drawers at the front. My hubby got the bracket from eBay and it was fairly easy to put up.
the tv sits on a fold down shelf opposite the kitchen but over the seat.
there is a little space above the fridge for food preparation or i could close the glass plate over the sink and there would be a huge space.
we only use the hob inside the caravan if its raining or for making coffee or boiling the kettle otherwise we always cook outside to avoid the caravan gettng too hot.
we dont prepare much more than salad or vegatables inside on the surfaces.

We cook in our van, that’s why you have a hob unit, we also use a mini oven for cooking meat/fish etc.
At home we have a full kitchen range ... but still BBQ outdoors when the weather is clement ...
