How many of you have used a now tv box in caravan . The site has wifi just wondering if they work away from home .What do others use we dony have sky

Satellite boxes do not use WI-FI. The TV signals come from geostationary satellites thousands of miles above the equator, are picked up by the satellite dish, and decoded by the satellite receiver.

You're right, except in this case the OP stated that they use a NOW TV box, which does use the internet.

The problem with caravan site Wi-Fi is that when a site is quiet the Wi-Fi is great, but during the height of summer more and more people use the Wi-Fi and you'll probably find its not good enough for NOW TV.

If you have a decent mobile phone contract though you could just pair the NOW TV box to the phone and use its mobile data. But like I said, it depends on your mobile phone contract and how much data allowance you have.

Sorry, never heard of a "Now TV box" - thought that it was a misspelling. `from past experience, I think a satellite dish and decoder are likely to be more reliable than a WI-FI signal.

Now TV is a small box that you connect to the internet and you can stream pretty much all of the Sky channels.

They have become very popular, but I don't think they are for everyone.

Like you said, a Sky dish and box would be the best system, failing that a good old fashioned TV aerial and a Freeview box.

You can make your television smart for £10 will not work on campsites as wifi will be to slow to work

Dont bother wifi on sites, it is rubbish, as the band width on most cannot cope with major downloading / streaming of content.

No easy way unless you use your mobile data on a phone, (as per above), assuming you have a good signal, and enough mobile data usage.

Back to basics i am afraid, TV aerial, site bollard or line of site of open sky south east for a satellite signal, with the use of dish and receiver.

Alternatively with a lot of new pay to view systems, you can watch content via the app etc or down load content to your phone, for watching offline later, again again, in the proverbial.
