The storage place we will store our van at when we get one, is totally secure, only £210 a year but no area for washing van or EHU. It's 5 mins from home, there is another one that does have washing and EHU facilities, that is 15mins away from home, no idea of cost though. Which is preferably please?
Question is how does the battery stay charged please.

sorry, why do you need the ehu when in storage?
you can solar charge the battery.
Only because when driving around you see them hitched up to EHU and I didn't know why, just presumed that battery need charging before you go anywhere lol, obviously not then
Yes, it does need charging regularly before you go anywhere, and especially if you don't go anywhere!
If you intend leaving the 'van on a storage site without EHU for longer than a few weeks, and you don't use solar panels, usual advice is to take the battery home to keep it charged.
My caravan is in storage without water access or EHU but it's important to keep the battery charged up to avoid it from sulphating in which the acid becomes stagnant and slowly discharges which too low, the leisure battery maybe impossible to regenerate thus needing a new one which can be an expensive mistake. Therefore you have two choices which are to either charge the battery in storage via a solar panel or take the the leisure battery home and keep it permanently charged via a 'smart' charger 24/7 on a safe constant float charge which is the method I chose to do. Remember that solar panels are only active during daylight hours which daytime hours are reduced during the winter period when the battery needs TLC more than ever and if it's secured on the caravan roof then a natural film of dust will accumulate over time reducing the effectiveness of the charge (not to mention the excessive bird droppings that bond to the glass surface) so will need to be cleaned periodically which in my view is an extra unnecessary chore requiring more frequent trips to the storage as well.
We pay the same . We don’t have EHU it charges when you go away . Or in winter if not using it for a long time we peaked it home to charge . As for cleaning we take two containers with water and do it at storage yard .
There are some you tube videos showing how to clean vans while in storage . .
Then I always just clean it a little when we are away If needed .
I fitted a 100w roof mounted panel to our van to ensure that the battery is kept fully charged whilst in storage, a bonus is that it allows us to go "off-grid" and use sites without mains electricity.
