Had reason to call into our dealers today for some bits for our van and took the opportunity of having a look around the new Phoenix from Bailey
Apologies in advance to any Phoenix owners on here who love theirs.....But.....
Is this a van manufactured ''on the cheap'' ??
Older style ''pull down from the top''Remis blinds on all windows other than the front..
Cheaper taps ( Caraflo )
Kitchen sink that was as thing as paper and fixed by positive screws at each corner - screwed in so hard they bent the stainless steel , no covers on the screws.( had a look in 5 Phoenix and they were all the same )
Swarf in every corner internally where trims had but cut to fit .
Black grab handle ( just as you climb through the door ) fixed to a very flimsy wall board on the right.
Shower door ...bi-fold super fly lightweight type ( like a really cheap ebay special )
Drawers that I struggled to open...
Blinds that were binding in the runners on the front windows ( all three )
Sealant running out of joints...
The list goes on.....
Is this the standard now of uk manufactured vans or just Bailey
Having spent some time looking around German built motorhomes ( next purchase ) there is no comparison !!
Yes totally agree with you we had a nosey in them a few weeks ago and thought they looked cheap shame really as on the outside they look really nice. We are on our 3rd Bailey always thought they looked good inside and out and we have never had a problem with any of them
------------- its our imperfections that makes us perfect
