Hi,
I need to live in my caravan for about 4-6 months while I save some money.
Anyone know of any long term pitches available in South Essex? Need to stay reasonably local for my work!

I did this some years ago when I moved jobs, and used a CL site. The owner was quite happy for a long term stay so long as I moved the van every 3 weeks. Didn't need to hitch it up, the motor mover did the job fine. Ring round a few likely CL sites and see what the owners have to say. Especially if its out of season I bet a few would be quite pleased.

I had a great time, and got bucket loads of sympathy from work colleagues who thought I was slumming it!

We have met several people who live permanently in their caravans/motorhomes - a few having no actual property in the UK or anywhere.
One couple we met spend the whole of the better weather in the UK, travelling to where work is available, then going out to Spain to avoid the British winter climate. I just wonder what happens when advancing years and all the problems that accompany them takes over.
