We have had our last trip this year in the caravan and will get it ready for winter. Do you recommend having it serviced, before the winter or in the spring?
We bought it in 2017, it had been serviced prior to purchase, only managed a week away as I have to look after my 89yr old father who has Alzheimers(we cannot get away much) and have used it 3 weeks this year. 2019 who knows.........!

The later the better if you ars not going to use it for some time and as long as there are no warranty requirement for a service.

My only advice is what I was told from the place I get my van serviced, from between March to early June is really busy as people book their van in for a service just before the caravanning season starts.
The only other determining factor is when you bought the van in the first place, if it was say March 2017, you really need to get it done before the 12 months is up (so that you keep any warranty)
Have a word with the dealer you bought it from, they should be able to advise you when its best to get the service done.

If under warranty you have to have it serviced within a time period, just had my caravans 3 year service done, it will be used over the winter. Dealer has written on the service report that the next service is due between Nov and end of Dec 2019 to maintain the 10yr water ingress guarantee.

We are out of warranty the van is 2005 compass omega. The records show that it has been serviced about every 2 years, not much use and well looked after.
We cover it over winter, think I shall book it in for spring service we have a super mobile guy who fitted a mover for us.
