I am new to this , so here goes : I have recently purchased a second hand Elddis Typhoon XL , which I think is manufactured circa 1994 . I am looking for access to any any manuals for the caravan , heater , Zig unit etc ? Any help would be greatly received ?
You can find out the age of your caravan from the CRIS serial number which should be etched on the windows. If there is no number on any of the windows it is likely to be pre-1991. If you go to this website;
Caravan manuals for this age of caravan are hard to come by. My Elddis is 1992, so I know. However, any of the equipment inside is not so difficult, as the heater, Zig unit etc are common to many caravans and the individual manuals are often on the web if you do a search. I like these older Elddis caravans, they seem to have a character to them.

Hi Steve,
The best way to get a manual together is make a note of your Zig unit,fridge,water heater etc and go online to the individual makers.
They tend to provide online manuals whereas the caravan companies don't for older vans.
As previously stated the Haynes book will give you the general idea.

Greg
Greg M has the right idea there. You often find with older caravans that internal equipment has been changed and/or updated, ours doesn't have the original fridge for instance, so making your own manual with the equipment you now have is a good idea.
