Hope someone can help ! Our neighbours have bought a 2012 Bailey Unicorn Madrid we cannot get the 12v control panel to come on ! ( it does on EHU )
We have charged the battery and done a discharge test Battery all good and refitted.
we have checked all fuses including the inline fuse from Battery .
Checked all trip switches and all seem ok
Anyone any thoughts ??
There should be a battery condition gauge which indicates that there is power coming from the battery. Have a look to see if the gauge has registered and if it hasn't then either the switch hasn't been activated or is defective as the fuse has already been checked and found to be satisfactory.
I had a problem when we bought the caravan, ended up temporary bypassing then tried to work it out latter.
It turned out we have 14 fuses and 12 names, so I had counted down the names then the fuses to check, but I was simply pulling wrong fuse to test.
All that was wrong was a fuse blown.
I was checking fuses by testing volts one side, and testing volts the other side, however this fuse was fed from both sides, so I again missed it.
So remove fuse test and replace. No short cuts.
As I tried to trace I found there were 4 relays shown on the circuit diagram but actually 5 on the control box. So some times you get unexpected things. It only takes one relay to go faulty, so do check with and without car connected, it can help work out what is wrong.
Had exactly the same with my hymer.it was the 50amp fuse next to the lesure battery under the drivers seat. It had blown after renewing the starter battery I think
