Hi we are looking to upgrade from a tent to a caravan, but before we do we need to find caravan storage we are nr Milton Keynes in Bucks. I've contacted tow big ones in Towcester and Bicester but both are full anyone know of any more. We can't buy a caravan until we sort this as no driveway to park it on.
Thanks Michelle

We had the same sort of problem when we decided to buy, and ended up storing on a site 45 miles from our home.
Its a nightmare we really want to buy one and upgrade the kids have been to look round some and love it my eldest 2 struggle in a tent because of their needs and we believe a caravan would be much better for us. I've also tried seasonal pitches but they are taken on the sites local to us too.
I've just done a search on CASSOA. Within 20 miles of MK11 there are 6 sites listed, I know their website doesn't always work well so it's worth trying again.

Ahhhhh OK I'll try again as it brought nothing up might try on laptop rather than the mobile and do a search thank you
Our original intention was to get on a storage site anywhere, so that we could buy a 'van, and then to spend the next year searching for a site closer to our home and moving when we could. However we are pleased with the site that we are on, and as it is in a direction that we normally travel, at least for our frequent short trips to Norfolk it actually saves 90 miles of towing each time, so not so bad.
When you contact sites ask when their rental periods run from, most are monthly but some half-yearly. Once you know you can ring on those dates to find if anyone has left. My experience suggests that there is no point leaving your details and waiting for a call-back, they don't.
There are usually many farms which store caravans. Not often heavily publicised. Have a look locally or on Google Satellite view. Ask around at work or a neighbour. A van appearing at a neighbours the night before they go away is a clue that they have a storage site somewhere.
Is Welwyn Garden City too far away? CAMC site there looks like it has vacant plots in secure storage compound (you'll need to check that it's not just vans off site!).
Need to belong to CAMC to use storage, but I found the discount on insurance went long way to offsetting membership fee.
That's a little far, I think for now we might just have to settle for a trailer tent or folding camper as that will fit in our garage until we have some more spare cash or a space locally comes up.
You could also put a small ad in your local paper or shop window, they may be storage availability on a local farm or lock-up yard. Some stables also make a bit of extra cash by offering storage for caravans and horseboxes, it might be worth a try.
Also ask at local dealerships, they may have knowledge of whats available in the area, or offer storage facilities themselves.

There was a place recently advertising in the Towcester magazine. Otherwise, try one of your local dealers. We store ours at Elite Caravans at Blisworth, but I think they are full.
