Hello, we have a 2004 Abbey Spectrum 540 which we use each year to tour round France and the UK. Last year we had a problem with the fridge for the first time where it stopped working. My husband had a look at it whilst in France and found it was a problem with the cooling unit. Has anyone else had the same problem? Does anyone know of any fridges for sale?

In a 2004 model caravan it is likely to be a Dometic fridge but it will help if you can confirm this and post the make and model number of the fridge that you need to replace.

I have had a good look but can't find any RM7501 replacement fridges available at all. Maybe the Abbey Owner's Club may be able to assist if you join or you could contact a mobile service engineer to see if the cooling unit can be replaced in your existing fridge. If it can't then they sometimes are in contact with caravan breakers who might just happen to have one available.
I'll keep looking anyway and repost if I come up with anything positive but good luck and hope you get sorted.

This is why it helps to insert your location on your profile as someone has a Dometic RM7271 fridge for sale on Ebay but collection only. It may be an ideal replacement but it may be too far away to view as we have no clue where in the UK you live.

To enter your outfit and location go to the top right of the page 'members only' go into that and you will see 'edit profile'.
