Hi, we had the EE mobile WiFi, worked well but worked out very expensive when used gaming watching football one match used £15 of data once, it's alright if used for internet search but you will be surprised how much data kids get through. We no longer use ours and just use mobile phones hotspot, or sites WiFi which has to be paid for at £5 for 24hrs unlimited data which works out cheaper for us.
The 3 network is offering mobile broadband for £22 a month unlimited data. If you use a mobile router then you can take it with you when you go touring. mobile broadband
I use this system in conjunction with a rooftop aerial although at the moment I'm finishing using the data on my "internet with legs" sim.
If you are a sky TV customer, and with Sky Mobile, You can use the Sky Go/Q app and watch TV without using your data allowance.
This is for both in the UK and Roaming, infact, I watched each day of the Giro D'Italia whilst on Holiday in France Last month, tethering my Ipad to my Wifes Phone. - About 4 hours aday
This only works with Sky Apps, so if you were using Netflix/Iplayer etc, then your data allowance would still be consumed.
Game withdrawl is good for them,he can enjoy the fresh air
We have sim only packages from Virgin, some have large amounts of data.
We just use it for e- mail bit of web browsing.
------------- DS-There's more to life than football!!!
