Hi everyone. I'm trying to resolve an issue with my water pump. It works however I get a spray of water out the side of my van whenever I use it. The whale pump fits tight and the water sprouts out of the channel between the whale pump and the filter... what can I do?
Well, changed the o ring, put a new filter in. Still spraying out. Thinking it might just be the pressure but I cant find the valve to adjust it. It's an old 1992 elddis whirlwind but the water inlet looks too white to be an original. Theres no obvious valve at the back of the water inlet so I reckon I'm going to have to strip everything out to try and find it. One thing different though, the whale pump shot out this time...
I have a 1992 Elddis too, and that water inlet looks the same as mine. It may have been replaced at some time, but I think it's still the original type.
Are you getting water at the taps ok? I'm wondering if you may have a stuck non-return valve. There is no way to adjust the pressure as far as I know. Certainly nothing on mine.

the plastic housing has cracked where the filter screws in .. you cant really see it but it expands and the crack opens up under pressure.. the housing needs replacing..
