Hi all.
Random one, I've just looked under the caravan and noticed the spare is not there.
Im just wondering if anyone knows of any place to get a cheap basic spare wheel. I would put a tyre on myself anyway so can just be the steel wheel.
We have a Bailey Pageant S5 provance.
Probably the best bet is a caravan breakers. I'm sure an online search of your area would turn one up. I know of a good one but it is in southern Essex, and I'm sure there must be many more.
------------- Best Regards,
Colin

the last caravan i bought had a spare wheel fitted with a new tyre, few months later had a puncture, went to use spare and the spare wouldn't fit over the hub,the wheel itself looked the same but on checking the hole in wheel was a few millimetres too small,so it might be better to order one off dealer rather than taking chance on getting wrong size,if you look on wheel itself there should be a number stamped on it,the spare i had was one diget out although the wheel was the same size.

That sort of thing is why it is a good idea to rehearse changing a wheel (caravan and car) on the driveway at home. It can expose all sorts of problems that you don't want to discover out on the road.
local farm ( storage site ) - had several spare wheels, gas bottles, batteries and toilet cassettes ( !!! ) stolen a few years back.....I can understand the other items but a used toilet cassette ???
When you get a new wheel ....fit a lock to it and lock it to the chassis when in storage or put it inside the van.
