To get useful responses, its helpful to have more information such as the fridge make and model, as well info about your caravan. A forum member may have, or have had, direct experience and be able to provide a relevant answer.

Your issues could lie with the van, the fridge controls or the heating element in the fridge, so the more info the better.

The first place to look is at the RCD 240 volt mains trip switches to see if one of the MCB's has tripped and needs resetting.

Might be just a fuse needing replacement. Our Trauma water heater decided to work only on gas, replaced fuse, all's well. Worth a try.

well presuming you have checked the supply fuse and tht ok, I would, if at home run an extention lead out to the caravan and remove the fridge plug from socket somewhere inside one of your cupboards (usually close to the fridge) and plug it in that. if the fridge runs fine then its something within your caravan electrics, so get a table lamp and plug that into the socket the fridge was plugged in, this is to make sure it is definitely the caravan side of things, but without a model number of the fridge its difficult to tell you what it could be.

My fridge was working in a very peculiar fashion last week on EHU. It would work for a while, then switch off for a bit, then start working again. All the while the fridge was kicking out heat, exiting via the vent as usual.

The side of the caravan where the fridge is sited was getting very hot in the sun. I taped a reflective windscreen cover over the outside below the vent and it started working properly again a bit later in the day.

I think it was just the heat on the outside of the caravan wall.

Another thing is that some fridges don't seem to work properly if the van isn't fairly level, could that have been the problem?
