Advice wanted I have a Bailey senator series 6 2008 my tracker alarm when armed is only working on the external movement sensor and not the Pir. The pir is detecting movement inside but not sounding the siren any ideas. Cheers
The alarm is likely to be an 'off the shelf' product and not manufactured by Bailey, it would be useful to know the alarm make and model.
The PIR will be connected to the alarm module in a normally closed circuit. When movement is detected, this circuit then become open via a relay in the PIR, and this triggers the alarm (if set). In older PIR's the relays can become sticky, so although the movement LED suggests the unit is working, its possible that the relay is stuck closed and isn't switching to produce the required trigger.
A new PIR would normally do the trick, but you'd need to investigate further and some basic wiring checks with a cheap multimeter should prove if the detector itself is at fault, or if a deeper problem exists with the control module.

The pir is wireless and solid state to replace they are almost £200 so you can understand I am asking if it could be something simple. It’s a Tracker alarm www.tracker.co.uk. From what I can see it is just two parts, the stand alone Pir and the siren which is connected to the leisure battery
In that case, I can only suggest you speak with the manufacturers own support dept, there's no detail on the Tracker website relating to alarm equipment.
