Hi we are looking to buy a 1 2 or 3 year old Coachman or Swift caravan can the water ingress warranty be transferred. We are looking to buy from Private seller.   thanks

I bought my caravan new in 2013 and I have just checked the handbook and this is what it says on this :-

CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP :-
There is a £50.00 administration fee to transfer the remainder of any 3 year super sure warranty and the 6 year body shell warranty.
The Extended body shell warranty is non transferable.

Unless they have changed the rules since I bought my van then it should be ok except for the extended bit, mine was extended to 10 years.

If it's a Swift make sure it's been serviced every year within the time limits stated by Swift and the 3rd service must be done before it's 3rd birthday for the warranty to be valid.
Sorry don't know about Coachman.

There is no point looking for extended warranty as it won't be transferable to you, it is for the first owner only, as tezmil1 said.
