We are considering purchasing the above make caravan. Would appreciate any comments, positive /negative about it please. Do you like this van, how does it tow and any major drawbacks. Thank in advance for any info! X
We have a Swift Fairway 530 2016 and it has been the best van we have owned. The layout works well for us when we are on our own as we can use the side dinette for meals and make up the bunks if required when we have the grandchildren with us.
The model we have is a dealer special and has a number of additional features, it has Alde heating, far better than blown air. Towing with our Santa Fe is very easy and to date we have not had any issues with this van in the 3 years we have had it.

We are now on caravan number five of the 530 layout. Ours is a dealer special and find this is the best layout for us. There are just the two of us now but it was ideal when we used to have grandchildren with us. Long gone now as they are all up in their twenties. As for Swift caravans we now have bought 8 new ones over the years of buying 11 in total. Have always gone back to Swift again after trying other makes.
Sorry to be so late on parade, but we were away, in our Challenger 530, & didn't read this until after we got back from Cornwall.
We find the 530 layout just about perfect for us as there's loads of room in the kitchen area & plenty of cupboard space for stuff (almost too many cupboards, since SWMBO tends to rearrange things every time we go away).
We tow with a Kia Sportage & it is no problem at all.
If you have kids, do look at the length & weight limits on the dinette bunks - I understand that kids have a habit of growing, so that could be a problem later on.
😂 Thank you for your comments, you have certainly confirmed our thoughts that we would be delighted with the Challenger 530.
Hope you had a good time in Cornwall and thank you for taking the time to reply in the forum. Just need to find a nearly new Challenger 530 and we will be over the moon.
