Hi,
Is a caravan cover worth purchasing?
I’ve looked at Protec & Specialised covers which are expensive as well as cheaper ones. Can’t make my mind up over purchasing one or just give the van a good waxing?
Have you read the previous threads on this subject? This is a question that arises fairly frequently along with the towing cover dilemma and the earlier threads may help answer your question.

No Rob, I’ve not seen any previous threads on this subject, I did have one on my folding camper which was stored in the garage which kept it nice & clean.
If you use the search button at the top of the page and search for "caravan cover" you'll get quite a lot of previous threads, you could also search for "winter cover."
I watched some people on a campsite recently who had travelled with a front cover. It was attached by a number of straps - I assume that they are all like this. They stayed for 2 or 3 days and didn't remove it. I am guessing that this is because it's a bit of a bother to take off and re-attach for a short period.
The part which covered the front window was undone and flapped down to allow for the normal use of the window. However, so far as I could see, there was no access to the front storage area.
All our essential stuff for setting up etc is stored in the front area, so I'm not sure what people do in when using a cover.
------------- Freedom is a light caravan and an open road.
We used to have a Specialised cover which folded down and there was a zip for access to the front locker.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
