Hi all I seem to struggle removing the front of my trauma heater to change the battery I ended up just lifting it up pulling it out at the bottom then changing the battery is was a pain to click back in position. On my other caravan it came off easier but that one moved a lot when towing. Does anyone else have the same issue
Maybe the TRUMA heater doesn't have a battery installed like your old one did. Like mine, the old one had a battery but the later model is ignited by means of power from the leisure battery instead. If the ignition does come from the leisure battery that's probably the reason as to why the cover cannot be removed.

The front should pull out at the top (spring clips) then lifted up to remove, sometimes they have a couple of screws at the top between the fins if its dropped off at any time.
I believe Truma have a video showing how and how to fit the battery.
I had similar problems changing my first battery and bent the little lugs at the bottom getting the front off. This then resulted in the front always bouncing off in transit. I faffed about with the bottom lugs and top springs but it was never very successful. I ended up putting a screw through one of the holes behind the fins and it's been great ever since.

I have spoken to the dealer and he has fitted new springs at the top he says they will be quite strong for a while but will get better. Thank you for all your comments. My mate had a brilliant Idea let the wife do it instead LOL.
