I assume this is to do with your previous posts about new camping inventions for your GCSE in product design.
You're going to have to give everyone a little more info about what you would like now please.
Sorry, I was quite unclear in my original post
- I am simply looking for someone who can offer opinions/ criticisms on a product that I am planning to design based around camping
- Each week I will send you a prototype picture and you will hopefully give feedback with improvements things to keep etc etc.
Currently my design brief is
'I will design a multi functional utensil or tool that is lightweight and portable. '
This is all part of my product design GCSE.
If this sounds too much, you can still help me by offering feedback on a recent cardboard prototype I made:
Would it be possible to post the details then you will get feedback from a wider variety of campers.
Don't forget, there are many types of camper on here ranging from the roughing it types with no tent and only eating live insects to the glamper with a full 3 piece suite, beds, dining tables, TV, Sauna, Hot tub, washing machine etc all carried in a furniture van with a roof rack and trailer.
I see the knife, fork and spoon, and the essential bottle opener. But what is the utensil on the left please? Not a bad idea having them together on the ring, as long as the whole thing packs neatly.

Fish slice? One half of a butter pat? Cheese grater?
The cardboard implements are really a set of tools rather than a multifunction tool.
Retention on a ring is sensible if carried on a walk or to the beach etc, to provide a quick check and prevent loss. This is the only advantage over separate items.
You possibly don't need the knife in an occasional tool, as this function can be done by the fork, as in a sharper pastry fork. Got to minimise the weight whether carried on the person or in a caravan..
I suspect your design brief is quite difficult. As a caravanner and car enthusiast I have lots of sets of tools, but AFAIK no multifunction ones - these tend to be bought by people who think they are a good idea but don't actually use tools!
For those saying the brief has minimal potential, I am open to ideas for possible camping problems that can be solved with an invention (something feasible)
How about a small tent for the back packers which can be used as a waterproof cape while walking. This would also cover the back pack etc.
If possible, could you simply sit down with it and release a few clips or velcros and have it convert to the tent while still in it. So you can arrive in the rain, pitch the tent and be warm and dry inside all at the same time.
Might take a bit of thinking about.
When I was in the TA (Territorial Army) I had a groundsheet which had a hood. This folded so with the hood on my head it formed a square shape with poppers each side making it into a cape.
2 people could use one as a ground sheet and another as a 2 man tent with a few sticks as poles and pegs. Only a simple shelter, was open at the end. Or it could be draped off a wall to form a shelter.
I used one poppered lengthways to form a tube which I slept in.
at navver Honestly sounds like great idea, not sure fabrics aren't my strong point, but worth investigation.
Maybe I could find a way for it to clip onto a bag
