One thing that is problematical to all using hard standing for awnings is the removal of rock pegs on packing up. Sometimes they come out ok, but a simple peg puller, claw hammer etc involve bending down, muscle power and choice words to remove. Do that 20 odd times round a full size poled awning is a work out too far.
