Wrong of me I know, but only really checked the noseweight of the van after coming back the last time, and found it to be around 60kg, which is far too light. This is with an empty-ish van, and a lightweight porch awning at the front. Noseweight maximum on the car is 80kg.

Fast forward to today, and put the full awning right to the front with a china dinner set and with the aquaroll and wastemaster at the back, with only towels and bedding really behind the axle. Now just over 65kg.

What else can I practically do to increase this, as short of putting weights in the front, i'm scratching my head as how to increase this?

so what is your gas bottle. yours levelling ramps, your wheel jack, spare blocks of wood for the steadies,? then inside things such as your tv, pots and pans, tinned food, bedding and clothes, all these can make a huge difference

along with that, how are you actually measuring the weight? are you using a calibrated nose weight gauge? or a set of bathroom scales with the correct length bit of timer in the tow hitch to press down on the scales?

Are your gas cylinders in the front locker?
If the front locker is absent of any gas cylinders then this will contribute to a light noseweight. if you have lightweight gas cylinders then change them to 6kg. steel ones as they are twice the weight of the lighter type.
Also, is the leisure battery towards the front of the caravan as a battery is somewhat heavy so if you have no leisure battery in situ than this is something else to consider.
However, most caravanners struggle to get the noseweight down but having problems the opposite way is quite rare so in my opinion it's probably something simple you need to look at with reference to the above.

How did tow like with that weight and the 80 kilo is maximum

It's hardly Royal Doulton , but we picked up a set cheap, and was trying to demonstrate it wasn't a lightweight Melamine set.

To answer a few questions:

Used a Milenco nose-weight gauge
Single standard gas bottle, over the axle (as with all newer Baileys)
Single axle
MIRO c1300kg, MTLPLM c1450kg

Battery is behind the axle, which I think is causing the lightness at the front. With everything at the front going down to the New Forest this week, it was noticeably better than the previous time out, only noticing higher winds and displacement from cars/vans going significantly faster.

Sorry wasn't having a dig, Just momentarily had wonderful vision of dinner parties in the awning.

I personally think yours is a nice problem to have, I would love to be able to load the front locker more to achieve correct nose weight but alas ours is a balancing act to get the weight down

I don't think manufacturers pay much attention to nose weight. It is quite a fine balancing act for them to move the axle position which is really what needs doing.

We have a new Bailey and there were lots of options many of which affect noseweight so it is is pot luck.

The main thing is .... when on a level surface, does the whole rig look level ... i.e. no dip or rise at the hitching point?

If level, you're probably ok.

We use a china dinner set, 4 plates, 4 side plates, 4 bowls, 4 cups and 4 saucers, in our 'van (well its made out of pottery) simply because we don't like eating off plastic or melamine. It is the cheapest one we could find (around a tenner) because it wasn't expected to last long, however it was bought in 2010 when we sttarted 'vanning and is still complete today.
