I have just bought us a lovely 2007 Sterling Eccles Sapphire caravan for my husband and myself. It did not have a full awning with it. As this is our very first caravan we would like to know what size of awning we need?

google provides the size needed as being 963 cm, so your looking for 950-975cm different makes will give different size guides such as size 4-18 go by the centimetre size and you wont go wrong

Hi Elaine, unless anyone happens to know offhand, the best way to find out is to measure the awning rail. Get a piece of string and pull it through the rail from the ground at one end to the ground at the other, then measure the string and this will give you the size.

When we got our first caravan, we bought a full sized awning to go with it.
We ended up selling that and buying a porch awning, since that was quite big enough for our needs and one heck of a lot easier to put up.

(It weighed a lot less as well)

We have both, an air porch awning for short breaks and a full isabella for our main holiday.

We also have full awning for long holidays and a blow up porch awning for short breaks. Looking to possibly get a sun canopy for Spain as we never put the sides on the awning.

Tried that, then bought a Thule canopy and there is a big difference between an awning without the sides and a canopy.
